Dr. Brandon D. Frye: Brevard County Orthopedic Hand Surgeon
Dr. Brandon D. Frye, a board-certified Brevard County Orthopedic Hand Surgeon, specializes in treating conditions of the hand and upper extremity. A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with nearly two decades of military medical experience, Dr. Frye has served in combat tours in Iraq (2008-2009) and Afghanistan (2016-2017). His most recent role was as Orthopedic Clinic Chief and sole Orthopedic Hand Surgeon at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, providing expert care to over 82,000 soldiers, family members, and retirees in Fort Campbell, KY. This included elite units such as the 101st Airborne Division and 5th Special Forces Group.
A fourth-generation Brevard County resident, Dr. Frye graduated from Melbourne High School in 1998, earned a B.S. in Zoology and Botany from the University of Florida in 2002, and completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Des Moines University in 2007. After his Traditional Rotating Internship at Largo Medical Center in Florida, he served as a Flight Surgeon for the 10th Aviation Regiment, deploying to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He later completed his orthopedic surgery residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, followed by a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in 2016.
Dr. Frye is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH).
Now practicing in Melbourne, FL, Dr. Frye is deeply rooted in his community, where he lives with his wife and three sons. Together, they enjoy traveling, home improvement, fishing, boating, and surfing, continuing the strong ties to Brevard County.
